Well, it could be Nanamine as it seems the guy in shadow knows the editors. If it is not him, then it could be a guy who loves hacking or somehting, but Nanamine seems like the most likely candidate.

Good chapter, this story arc is beginning to look really interesting, also i can't imagine it being anyone other than Nanamine now, but it's troubling i mean why not just say he's the official story author of the manga(s). The only thing i can think of is he's trying to get all of them serialized and then planning to basically tank all the stories in an attempted revenge against Jump maybe?

I can't imagine it's Nanamine, no matter how much of an idiot he was before. He's learned his lesson and if it did turn out to be some sort of revenge scheme, I think that it would have been a big waste of the arc that introduced him. I think it's a new character, but I don't think the plan is to tank all the stories. If that were the case, there's no way so many of these guys would agree to drawing these series. Even if their careers were over, I'd like to think that they had enough respect for manga to not purposefully destroy a well respected magazine like Jump. I think the plan is to make fools of the people at Jump, but knowing Ohba-sensei, there'll be some big twist to it that no one will see coming.

I'm gonna wait and see how this arc plays out... I don't know if I like it or not.

Overall, not sure if disappointed that it's Nanamine, a character I don't really care for, or happy that's it's not yet another new character -- the series is pretty stuffed full of minor recurring characters at this point.

Personally speaking, I'd like to see some more focus on some of the more likable relatively minor characters that are already in the series, like Kato or Orihara.

I agree, I'd like to see more about Kato or Orihara. Actually, I'd like to see some more Aoki, too, without Hiramaru. Or even Fukuda. Seems like all he ever does is rally up the team and then...yeah.

i think we'll see more of team fukada in the coming arc. i reckon its going to have to be a team effort to bring him down.

Watching Hattori hold himself back was painful. Getting drunk and pouring his heart out was touching. Sigh, I've liked the interactions between this Hattori pair in the past, and this chapter was no different. Both are good at what they do, but have opposite personalities.

The editor in chief's change in his decision was what I was thinking of in the previous chapter, however I did not expect it to be done this way.

Seems like Mashiro has the tendency to fall into old habits. Good thing he has someone sensible to get him out of trouble. Not sure if he has really learned his lesson (or will ever learn his lesson). I can imagine him falling sick again due to the situation getting too desperate.

Probably not my place to try and say "Author should have done this, or that" but couldn't Takagi have both Weiss and Schwarze 'killed off' in the sense of having 'successors'? It's highly possible had he wanted to go that route. but anywho, was a good chapter to build up the plot.

As for the chapter 161 really the authors have made an effort to bring us three intense acts in the same chapter. A little excess in text but this manga needs a couple or three more pages than usual.

I'm thinking it's neither the end nor there will be anything that prevent the anime from going through. However, their plans for the manga might derail...
