    Hello Primo,
Since I usually clean Kagami and Bakuman, Takadanama has asked me to handle your application.

I have created a simple test with 6 pages from Bakuman and Kagami. Those are fairly simple pages without many re-draws. Save in a .psd at 1300px, 72 DPI, Grayscale.
I will see how well you do with those pages before taking this any further.
Let me know if you are able to handle redraws.

Oh, and being able to use IRC is a huge plus because communication is easier that way.

    Here is your test:

Yes, there is only one re-draw.

DPI stands for dots per inch. When you downsize to 1300px, you will see it under Image>Image Size. Set the DPI from 300 to 72.

Keep the raw layer at the bottom, duplicate it, and then work on the top layer. Leave the bottom raw layer untouched. I don't know what you did there with the "levels" layer, but that's not the way it should be done.

Too much gray dust and specks all over the pages. Check for dust by using the adjustment layer, and decrease the brightness slider. The dust will become obvious. Leveling the whites a bit more will get rid of the dust. Erase all the obvious specks of dirt that do not look like part of the original art. I decreased the brightness on the first Bakuman page and all the gray dust showed up. (Refer to the first image i posted for a reference on how the gray dust looked like)

You seem to have a decent grip on Topaz, but you still need to perfect your textures. The gray textures are too dark and harsh (specifically in the girl's hair), and you need to use Topaz Clean 3 to make the grays cleaner. Also, you need to preserve the details because Topaz Denoise will distort it.

Crop the page and straighten it with the ruler tool. Redraw any panel border lines that are warped.

Pay more attention to the blacks. You missed a lot of areas that needed to be burned. Be more careful when you burn the blacks and make sure that you don't burn into the grays.

Your redraw still needs to be improved. But i like your effort there.

I think when you filled and burned in the blacks, some lines were lost, specifically the lines in the school ties.

I didn't circle EVERY single mistake on each page, but i think you should be able to understand what i mean just by looking at the ones I've circled. Keep working on them.
If you need a reference, you can always refer to our releases and see how the page should look like.

Oh, and if you could post a list with your cleaning method, step by step, that would be helpful too.

Thank you for the detailed evaluation. there is just one thing I don't get
you mention at the beginnign the dust that will show if I use less white in the levels, is this mean I need
to manualy erase them insted with the levels?

also I've tried to get the gary on mao head in the right corrner of the last panel of "img006"
but no matter what I can't get it.

For the gray dust, the really light ones will disappear when you level the whites a bit more (so more white). The darker ones will have to be dodged out using the dodge tool (set to highlights) or erased manually.

And for the grays, your Topaz settings are probably affecting it, so post your cleaning method in detail, step by step so I can see what you need to change.
