Near the end of last year, Imangascans dropped one of their flagship projects, GE - Good Ending and entrusted it to us. It was a huge show of faith in us on their part, and although we are still honored by the trust they showed us by handing over a project that was so important to them, we have some sad news to deliver.
As of today, we have finally reached a decision to drop Good Ending. Choosing to drop any series is not a choice we make lightly, and this decision comes after weeks of internal discussion and deliberation. Depressing as it may be, removing this title from our lineup will allow us to increase the speed and quality of our other projects. There are enough fantastic scanlation groups out there these days that we're confident the series will find a good home. I hope that as readers, you will continue to support both our other projects and the mangaka who create them.
Each staff member involved with the project has been asked for comment. Here are our heartfelt feelings:
Son - Cleaner:
"It's really sad, I was hoping to see Seiji and Yuki finally 'do it.'"
Horatio - Cleaner and Quality Checker:
"Our job's done. They had sex!"
Irru - Proofreader:
"I wonder when Shirou and Rukia will become a couple again."
Linktriforce007 - Typesetter:
"It is a shame I can't see Shou pulling off a School Days end. I, myself joined Red Hawk Scans for this project, so it was a very hard decision for me to make."
Triplicate - Translator:
"Ah. Ahahahah. Ahhhahahhahh. Ahhh, yes."
Passerby - Passerby:
"It was a nice, cold night. I was enjoying my absolutely free time, something I had not done in a long while, ever since my university plummeted me with tasks, assignments and more tasks. The moon was specially bright that day, enveloping the room in a nice, dim brilliance, making my own monitor's much more tolerable, so to speak. I was going to put myself up to date with the number of comics I used to follow every week online. The World God Only Knows was specially breathtaking that day. Yes, I remember it clearly now. I had joined the usual irc channels, a routine I had not done for over two months. It was then that I heard some terrible news - “GE might be dropped”. It shocked me at the time. What was going on with the series, one that had brought us so much joy, that would lead the people who worked on it to want it dropped?... I thought of asking, and did ask. I got a variety of replies, replies I did not expect. Sad and strange ones. Long story short, and because I can't bring myself to keep writing "bad fanfiction"-like stories, so let's just say we all agreed to drop GE for a number of reasons."
Dirna - Cleaner:
"I'm fine with the series being dropped. I wasn't particularly interested in the story and the raws were tough to work with in a timely manner."
ObsidianTK - Uninvolved:
"We were working on that series?"
Nase - Uninvolved:
"I've never touched it, but bye bye."
otamega - Uninvolved:
"GE was a pain in the a** to clean, so a round of applause for the cleaners who toiled over it. Oh, and for the record, I don't read GE."
epokreign - Proofreader:
<slow clap>
Mooltie - Cleaner:
"Go read Spoon instead."
Aryllos - Proofreader:
"I only proofread a few chapters, but I had a good time working on this, even despite the 2-years-ago-Kimi-level rage it's been inspiring over the past several weeks. Hopefully someday Seiji and Yuki will stop being total idiots and actually get back together again, because screw you, Shou. (Oh wait, he already did that.) Maybe sometime in the near future we can pick up another good romance series. :D"
KoolKidsK - Cleaner:
"This ruined my Saturdays." "I'm glad it's gone 'cause now I can't be guilted/bribed/persuaded/taken hostage/tricked into cleaning it."
skywalker - Cleaner:
"Meh, it's fine. Go read Sensei no Bulge. BTW, I'MMA START CLEANING THAT SHIT COS I LIKE IT!"
Again, I hope the readers will continue to support the current manga we are scanlating and the mangaka who publish them.
So long Good Ending!
