~~Kenji Kamiyama's 1st 009 RE:CYBORG Short Trailer Posted~~
The website of director Kenji Kamiyama (Eden of the East, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) posted the first short trailer for Kamiyama's upcoming feature film, 009 RE:CYBORG, on Saturday. The trailer has the first preview of the cyborg hero Joe Shimamura ("009," as voiced by Mamoru Miyano) calling out his signature acceleration ability.
The film, which is Kamiyama's first in full-3D animation, adapts Shotaro Ishinomori's classic science-fiction manga Cyborg 009. In the original manga, the secret Black Ghost organization transforms nine unsuspecting humans into cyborgs. However, the nine cyborgs turn on their masters and protect the rest of humanity from Black Ghost's plans for world war.
The film is slated to open in 2D and stereoscopic 3D theaters in Japan on October 27. The film will also open in more than five Asian regions simultaneously, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and South Korea.
Kamiyama is both directing and scripting the new film, and Production I.G and SANZIGEN Animation Studio are co-producing. Kamiyama already produced two 3D Pepsi Nex ads with Cyborg 009.
~~Ebiten School Otaku Comedy's Original Anime BD Ad Posted~~
Production company Kadokawa began streaming a commercial for the original anime Blu-ray Disc bundled with the Ebiten: Kōritsu Ebisugawa Kōkō Tenmon-Bu manga on Saturday. The limited-edition boxed set of SCA-ji and Kira Inugami's fourth manga volume will feature an exclusive 25-minute anime episode when it ships in December.

SCA-ji and Inugami launched the manga in Kadokawa's Comp Ace magazine in 2008. The net anime version of Ebiten premiered via a live stream on niconico (formerly Nico Nico Douga) on July 14.
Inugami's other works include illustrations in the Seitokai no Ichizon (Student Council's Discretion) light novels and the mascot character for the card game division of the character goods maker Broccoli.
